Pricing and Sales Tax

Pricing
Typically, our online merchandise prices are the same as those in our stores. Occasionally, there may be slight regional differences. All prices are US Dollars.

We are unable to provide delivery to shipping addresses (other than to APO or FPO addresses) or to our store locations outside the Continental United States, Alaska and Hawaii. Please visit our Store Locator to locate one of our over 4,000 stores nearest you.

Sales tax
Payless ShoeSource® has stores in all 50 U.S. States. We offer you the flexibility and convenience of returning or exchanging your online purchases in our Payless ShoeSource® stores. To enable us to offer you this added convenience, we charge sales tax at Payless.com®, just as we do in our stores.

We are required by law to charge sales tax on orders delivered to all states except Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire or Oregon. In addition, some jurisdictions have statutory exemptions for sales tax on certain apparel. In some states, tax is applied to shipping charges as well as the purchase total.

Order totals listed on your screen reflect estimated sales tax. The actual charge to your credit card will reflect the applicable state and local sales taxes and will be calculated at the time you checkout. Your actual tax total will include the correct local sales tax (if applicable) and will be reflected on your packing slip receipt. If you have any questions about the tax rate on your receipt, you can use our Contact Page and select "Billing" from the subject headings or call us toll free at 1-877-474-6379 between 7:30 AM and 7 PM, Central Time, Monday-Saturday and 9:30 AM and 6 PM Sunday.

Payment Methods

Payless.com® accepts the following payment methods:

  • Visa
  • MasterCard
  • American Express
  • Discover
  • Payless Gift Card

We do not accept checks, cash, credit vouchers or international credit cards.

The credit card you specify during the Checkout process will be charged when your order is shipped. You must enter your name, address and zip code exactly as it appears on your credit card statement. Please note that the billing address must be a valid U.S. address. This information is used as a part of the validation of your credit card. It's important that you include your phone number and Email address in case we need to contact you about your order.

Coupons & Promotions

Whenever possible, we mirror the promotional events running in our stores. This helps us offer you the most current fashion styles at great values. If you want to be the first to know about our promotions, be sure to Join Our Email List and we will notify you about promotions as soon as they occur via Email.

Redeeming a Coupon Code

  • To redeem a valid Payless.com® online coupon locate the coupon code and keep it handy during checkout.
  • On the Billing Information page you will be prompted to enter this code in Step 3. “Use a Coupon”.
  • You may only apply one code per order and you must meet the requirements of the coupon offer for the discount to appear.
  • After you have entered the code and your billing information is complete, click "continue checkout".
  • You will see your discount reflected in the order summary at the right of the Shipping Information page and on the Review and Place Order page as either:
    • A discount off one or more of the individual items in your shopping bag
    • A shipping discount
    • An "additional discount" off your order subtotal amount
  • Check these areas and your bottom line total to insure your discount was taken before placing your order.
  • If you forget to enter your coupon there is a reminder on the Review and Place Order page. Just below your order totals, you'll see the reminder "Did you forget to use a coupon?". Click this link to enter your coupon or discount code.
  • If you would rather use a different coupon, simply enter another coupon code and click "continue checkout". In most cases, this action will override and replace the coupon discount with the updated discount.
  • If you want to remove the coupon code, remove the code from the entry box and click "continue checkout".
