I bought these boots for work where I am on my feet all day and constantly moving. For $40, these are a good deal.

The bottoms are very good for working in a slippery environment and even though they are not Steel Toe, the tip of the shoes is very hard. Very comfortable, but they bend too easily on the top, making them look worn very quickly. The only real issue I have with them is that they won't last a year, but for boots going for prices of 80 dollars and higher, you can't expect them to last that long. However, I do recommend them if you don't have the money for an expensive, more high quality pair.

I work outside servicing ATM machines. I needed a pair of boots that were going to be waterproof and keep my feet dry and warm in the winter. I am a female but have a hard time finding good work boots in womens shoes. When I put these on in the store they felt amazing on my feet it was love at first feel. The love quickly fizzled.

I have had these boots almost 3 months. I stopped wearing them about 3 weeks ago. My feet were constantly wet and cold. I have never stepped in a puddle over the rubber sole and the only thing that has gotten above that is snow. The smell that is coming from them is horrible just the smell of mildew and feet. It makes my front room reek. The top of one of the boots is already cracking. I expected better quality then this when I purchased them. I work long hours and it is hard for me to get to a store to return them. Its going to happen today. Im willing to give another pair a chance if they have them in stock still. I would rather have my $ back but I know that probably isn't an option because I don't have the receipt or any tags.

Poor quality

By

Comments about Dexter Men's 6"" Waterproof Cheyenne Boot:

I'm a sandblaster and painter on bridges. Always climbing and moving. The stitching on the side separated after only 4 days. Are decently comfortable but could use more support of the sole. Hoped they would last about two months and get some red wings after Christmas. But 4 days is way shy of two months.

Comfortable,but don't last.

Comments about Dexter Men's 6"" Waterproof Cheyenne Boot:

These boots were comfy, but the weld or seam didn't hold up well at all. After maybe 8 mo. they fell apart. The leather side separated from the rubber sole. Not happy about that. Maybe I'm stupid, but I thought I'd try another pair, this time tan.

A Good Boot for a Good Price

By

Comments about Dexter Men's 6"" Waterproof Cheyenne Boot:

I work at a Dealership and am on my feet all day 6 days a week. I bought these boots four years ago and I wore them strictly during the late fall, winter, and early spring. Although the waterproofing could use some improvement; it did do a really good job at keeping my feet dry. They are not exactly comfortable but what do you expect. These boots are way better than what I used to wear. I am really hard on shoes and have to replace them yearly because I do a lot of walking on concrete/pavement and through the water when I wash cars. These boots surpassed my expectations as far as longevity. For this winter I thought I could make them last until my wife stuck her finger through a hole on the top of one boot and told me "No, you need a new pair". Plan on this brand again.

Disappointed

Comments about Dexter Men's 6"" Waterproof Cheyenne Boot:

Got these shoes for my husband's new job, he has been there for 4 weeks and the shoes are already falling apart. His job requires some walking to read power metees and ankle support is required. I like the look of the shoe, but would not purchase again for the are clearly not made to hold up. Waste of money.

Plesently surprised

By

Comments about Dexter Men's 6"" Waterproof Cheyenne Boot:

I almost didn't buy these shoes, as I thought the soles were too soft. I gave it a chance because I had purchased a different brand of work boots that had hard rubber soles which resulted in splits and cracks within the sole. These boots have outlasted the other ones and the soles haven't cracked, I do a lot of walking on gravel, asphalt, and hard concrete at work. The extreme heat of the desert didn't phase these boots, they adopted well to the hot conditions. I've walked in the rain with these boots and not once did I slip. Let's see.. What else can I say. I brought some Gel inserts for comfort but really didn't need them, the original inserts that come with the boot are very comfortable. The material at the top of the boot feels like it would rip/tear easily yet it hasn't. I've put on and taken off my boots hundreds of times and the material held up. It's a well built boot. Thank you Payless for selling these at a fair price. Well worth the money. (I waited 8 months before giving this review, my opinion on these boots are based upon 8 months of wearing these boots)

Great deal on work boots.

Comments about Dexter Men's 6"" Waterproof Cheyenne Boot:

I was shopping for water resistant work boots, for at home yard work. Most were beyond my price range. I looked up Pay-less Shoes on line, and saw these boots. I called my store, to find out if they were available. The store clerk confirmed them. I purchased the boots that day. I have used them several times while doing yard work here at home in Washington State, (rainy, and wet). The boots are comfortable, and my feet are dry! Thank-You Pay-less Shoes for a Great Deal.

Decent Boot

Very comfortable. Held up under what I would call heavy use for roughly 4-5 months before the cushion on the back started tearing, laces needed replacing within a few weeks.
