sole badly glued !!! wont last
Comments about Champion Men's Hurdle Runner:
Got this in the bright yellow for bike riding for high visibility. Unfortunately I wore them 3 times and realized the black part of the sole is poorly glued to the white part and therefore is actually peeling back with each step I take.It felt as if I had some gum or tape stuck to my sole but it was the peeling black sole that was detaching and flapping around as I walked.Poor quality. I was offered an exchange but the local store had none in my size 12.....Now I see on the web it is on clearance: probably because it is made badly and looks better than it really is.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Strange Toe Box
from Miami, FL
I really like Champion shoes, and have had great luck with their products in the past in terms of wear-ability and durability. Good stuff, and would have zero apprehensions about purchasing more of their shoes in the future. However, the problem with these Hurdles is that they have this really abrupt upward sweep to the front of the shoe. So much so that it constantly feels like one's toes are being jacked up as soon as you slip these shoes on. It also produces an unattractive snub-nosed look to the shoes as well. Not good. The (unaesthetic) chunkiness, but narrowness, of the soles are also not appreciated. It's like Champion attempted to reinvent the shoe or something with these Hurdle Runners...I don't get it. Apart from that, the color is beautiful, the design perfectly understated, and the materials and construction sturdy. Which is why it's so incredibly frustrating that they had to mess up the fit and look of the front of the shoe and sole. I would've bought these by the dozen if they hadn't...
