I am a porter at a car dealership. my work is inside and out, dealing with rain and snow, and for those who don't know, a porter is a car washer and driver. They aren't the most comfortable, but they are comfortable enough. They suit my needs quite effectively. I need boots that don't get soaked when I wash a car. I need a pair of boots that have traction on almost anything. Now I will admit, my boots are worn out, but I use them Monday thru Friday. I got them about 3 months ago. I have recommended them to the friends I have that would get use out of them.

This boot is the worst most poorly constructed boot I have ever purchased in my life. I was under the impression they were leather. The leather, if it is leather, is only a this coating no more than 1/32 of an inch thick bonded to a man-made fabric. Within a few weeks (less than a month) the "leather" began to separate from the fabric and peel off in chunks making the boot look like unsightly mess while, at the same time, leaking and taking on water faster than the Titanic. After they got wet inside, the lining on the inside of the sole came loose and became waded up. A few weeks later the inside lining on the back of the boot came loose. In a little over a month, possibly six weeks I found that the heals were hollow and wore through. Within this same time frame, the eyelets on both boots started to pull out so they couldn't be laced. In my view, no one in their right mind should buy this product. It is a total waste of money.

My feet are irritated from the metal rivit

By

from PA

Comments about Dexter Men's Ranier Waterproof Boot:

In order to make these comfortable I had to buy dr schols, since I did that my feet don't hurt one bit and I'm on them all day up and down on ladders scaffolding, and stilts. . I'm very picky about my boots. it drive my wife crazy. I go through a pair in about six months. I've had these for about 4 weeks and they seem to be holding to my abuse on the job site. They clean up nice every time. But again my feet developed 4 quarter size spots of a itching rash. They are right inline where the rivit located on the boots. I'll have to discard the boot due to this. Bummer.

My favorite boots!

By

Comments about Dexter Men's Ranier Waterproof Boot:

I've had my current pair for three years. Two years ago, I traveled the world in these boots. They have hundreds of miles on them over varying terrain, and in varying climates/weather. I use gel insoles, which certainly help for comfort, though the boots are pretty comfortable on their own. The only thing that has put any noticeable wear on them is sweat, which is why I came to the site today to buy up a few more pairs with a promo. code. I highly recommend these boots.

I don't wear leather, and I love these boots! They have been redesigned to not wear out at the bend in the boot. Every time I wear them I get comments - they look great, too!

Comments about Dexter Men's Ranier Waterproof Boot:

These boots are really comfortable. I have a bad back so comfortable footwear is really important. However, the uppers cracked during the first winter I wore them. The store I bought them from would replace them but didn't have the same style. Newer version of this boot didn't fit the same. For a poorly crafted upper at $44.95, the price is dubious, at best. I would recommend them only if the fit is good and you can afford to replace them.

Comments about Dexter Men's Ranier Waterproof Boot:

Looks good, comfortable, good price BUT after wearing three times (bought 2 months ago used in snow storm last week for first time) top of the boot - toe area -cracked where there is a lot of bending. The outer material is a plastic or similar type of covering. Not a good sign....so I can't recommend them, sorry Payless...

Good, for cold ice and snow

Comments about Dexter Men's Ranier Waterproof Boot:

I have only owned these for a week, but I noticed they are warmer due to the lining (than unlined boots). They are water proof if not submerged in more than 3-4 inches (rain, snow, mud).
I shopped around a lot and found no better value for the money. I only wish they cost a little less. DO NOT BUY THESE FOR COMFORT, OR INDOOR WEAR.
