Men's Faxon Loafer
Wears Like Steel
I've worn this model of shoe for several years and I can say they wear like steel! I'm not sure what the other reviewer was talking about, but I used to buy Florsheim shoes. However, I would spend more than $100 on a pair very similar in style, and they would last only about 6 months. These Payless shoes cost ¼ as much and last 4 times as long. Very comfortable and stylish enough for everyday at the office.

A very comfortable shoe
I agree with reviewer cjdiplomat. I first purchased this shoe some years ago. I just keep buying this same shoe because it is so comfortable. Yes these shoes wear out after a year but what do you expect for this price range? This is my casual shoe of choice. Slip it on and you're good to go.

I've had these shoes for a week and I'm already replacing them. They heel on the right shoe makes a strange noise as if letting out air with every step I take.
Furthermore, although I've only had them a week they are already showing awful signs of wear. They are made out of the cheapest material possible (I know, I know you get what you pay for but typically my $20 dress shoes last 6 months, not 1 week).
I wouldn't recommend these and I probably won't be buying shoes from PayLess any more based on this experience alone.

Comfortable, Good Looking Shoe
Having purchased and worn this shoe for at least 20 years now, I know I will continue to buy them as long as they make them. There is no other dress shoe out there that I would purchase over this one and I have tried many. It is a very comfortable shoe for every day use and for extended hours on your feet. The appearance is classic and timeless. The durability is on average with most dress shoes, though they last longer than some expensive dress shoes I have worn costing 4 times as much or more. The only issue I have found with them is the stores don't stock enough of them. Many times when I go to purchase new ones they are out of stock. But when they have my size in stock I buy all of them. I hope they never stop making them.
