I bought these shoes for by 14 month old son. Loved the way the looked and the fact that they would fit chubby foot. However these shoes do not stay on his feet at all. The velcro is always coming undone. We are constanly loosing them. I am very disappointed I wasted my money. I would not recommend these shoes to anyone.

So Not Worth It!
I bought these for my 4 year old for summer around the yard. They worked fine in the store because my son only walked up and down the isle a few feet and back. However once we got home and entered into real world situations (running, jumping, riding a trike etc.) the shoes REFUSED to stay velcroed! After the 6th time of them coming off my child himself threw the shoes in the poison oak. I thought about fetching them out and returning them as such...but I just hope the store and you read this review instead.
COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY!!! DON'T BUY!!!

LOVE these sandals
We tried several different sandals for my boys and had nearly given up on finding a good quality, affordable pair for them to wear at the beach and just running around outside. These are awesome! Easy for them to put on themselves, comfortable (no blisters), don't retain odors like some others we tried, and SUPER easy to clean (just rinse em with water). My youngest son has worn his until he outgrew them and then we replaced tehm with a bigger size 3 times now! My daughter has the pink ones and loves them as well. It is not uncommon for them to wear these for several hours at a time for trips to the zoo, days at the beach, ballgames, etc and they hold up great. Not sure about the bad reviews referencing velcro not sticking as we haven't had this problem with any of the 6 pairs we have owned/do own. Maybe a bad production lot? Anyway, we love em and hope they contine to be available for years to come.

I HATE THESE SHOES!!
THESE ARE THE MOST ANNOYING SHOES I HAVE EVER BOUGHT!! I CONFIRM OTHER REVIEWS THAT THEY WILL NOT STAY VELCROED!! I BOUGHT TWO PAIRS ONE FOR EACH OF MY SONS AND THEY ARE BOTH GARBAGE!! MY SON IS ONE AND HAS A HARD ENOUGH TIME WALKING AS IT IS WITHOUT THESE POORLY MADE THINGS COMING UNDONE AND MAKING HIM FALL!! I DO NOT NOT NOT RECOMMEND THESE SHOES AND WILL NEVER BUY FROM ANOTHER PAIR OF CHAMPION SHOES AGAIN!! WASTE OF MONEY. CHEAP VELCRO!! WORST INVESTMENT EVER!!

Awesome Shoe for a New Walker
My one year old LOVES these shoes and so do i. Since my baby just started walking these shoes are great. I like the fact that they are non skid and they come in wide sizes. These are my baby's favorite pair of shoes...with jordans, and toms in his closet he prefers these over all of them.. He out grew his pair so i am about to order him another :)

Most annoying shoes ever!
Ordered these shoes online for my 1 year old. The free shipping to the store was great & they are really cute. For as pricey as payless is becoming, I got a pretty good deal on them so I was happy. My son wore them for about an hour yesterday & the velcro came undone about every 30 seconds. Soooo annoying. My husband & I had a meeting with somebody in our home & my son WOULD HAVE played quietly by himself however every 30 seconds he was interrupting because his shoe was undone. Total waste of money. I emailed payless to see if they'll accept a refund (as they don't with worn shoes) considering my son only wore them in the house (but there are still some scuffs on them likely from when he walked out on the front porch) or even if this pair was defective. Judging by the other reviews, that's just the way they are made. Wish I would've read the reviews first!
