Men's Prime Cross Trainer
Excellent, except in one way...
Being a wide width, Payless is a great place to shop. Champion is a excellent brand, in terms of quality and style. I was very happy to see an all black sneaker, which I need for work.
Unfortunately, this model feels to me to be not as wide as previous Champion models. It fits, but is not as I expected.
Regardless, I still highly recommend the sneaker, for its style, value, and quality. The sneaker is comfortable, but snug. It just may not be wide enough for everyone.

OK for tennis.
This shoe looks very close to a Champion tennis shoe I used from 2008 until 2012 summer and bought at Payless. That shoe was about $10 more and apparently has been discontinued, sadly. The old shoe lasted about 2X longer (for tennis) as this cross trainer shoe; it was a bit heavier (bad), and a little less comfortable for me until broken in. This new shoe is lighter (good), but the toe scrapes away more quickly (OR, I've started REALLY dragging toes when hitting (bad). BUT, at $30 a pair, I don't mind buying a new pair every 6 mos or so and these are really quite light/nice. I recommend Shoe Goo for toes when they start wearing. Also, my foot isn't really a wide, it's more of a regular -- but that doesn't seem to matter. hey -- the alternative is $75-100.

Fit my foot and my budget
I have a wide foot and only Payless has a wide variety of wide width foot wears that no other shoe seller has. Champion Wide Width Cross Trainers are extremely comfortable and light. I have started speed walking and have been wearing them for a month now at three to four times a week yet they feel fresh as new unlike others which lose their comfort after wearing them three times. Price is also very good so if you are looking for a very comfortable athletic shoe then this one it what you are looking for.
