Women's (1 pk) Scrunch Knee Socks
Not for Long Legs
I think the scrunch is supposed to go below the knee.... Socks are 19.5 in (49.5 cm) long from heel to top (without the scrunch). 13 in (33 cm) from heel to top with the deepest scrunch. The cabled portion (that goes from the heel to where the fabric thins to make the scrunch) is 10 in (25 cm) long. So if you want the scrunch to be on your knee or above, your calf should be no more than about 10 in long. Any longer causes the scrunch to form below the knee (such was my case). Wish the display picture would've used a manikin to show this.
Then again, it's my personal preference to have a knee sock still cover the knee even after an embedded scrunch feature. Others might feel differently with this style.
Overall, warm and comfortable. The top part is thin, though, to make the scrunch, but that makes the sock significantly shorter. A very fun design that I would've liked to wear. Certainly would've added a youthful style to an outfit. I also like how it's machine wash (the only knee socks I've come across with that care instruction!). The band at the top to keep the sock in place is pretty tight. Best that the wearer not have bad blood circulation; or stretch out the sock a little before extended wear. Then again, extended wear would probably make the socks droop anyway--which, on second thought, is the point! Brilliant idea.
