I guess it was a complete blonde moment, but I was about to return these, because after I removed the tissue from the inside and tried them on, the top of my feet were KILLING me. What I didn't realize was that there was a hard piece of cardboard cleverly tucked in there to keep it's shape LOL. Normally I notice these things, but it was hard to see the ones in mine in the front of the boot. Don't make the same mistake I did and almost return them, until I felt like an idiot and removed the cardboard. Now they're actually pretty comfortable. I ordered a half size up, because I read that they run small, but I think I could have stuck with my normal size 8 and been fine. I'll keep these in case I wear thick socks. They're pretty wide around the calf, I guess to help with folding it over (which I'm not going to do, because I'm not much into the fur boot look), so I'm not sure how easily they will fit under my regular jeans, but we'll see. I do feel like Payless shoes are getting more expensive. I've only shopped here a handful of times, but I thought the prices were a lot cheaper than other places. They weren't any cheaper than any other pairs I looked at elsewhere. I hope they hold up well :-)

Plastic boots for $70? Hard pass. But they were on sale for $55 and it was supposed to snow the next day, so I took a chance on them. Bad move. My feet are still screaming at me. These are VERY narrow in the toe box and low in the top of the foot. They started to hurt after 30 mins. 6 hours later, I was almost crying with every step. I had to return them the next day - there's no way I could keep these. My pinkie toe is one giant blister and I have a bone bruise on my right foot from these boots.

They look fairly cute, especially with skinny jeans tucked in to the top, but the pain was absolutely not worth it. They say you get what you pay for - and this proved it! I'll just invest in some GOOD boots that won't cripple me.

I ordered these boots for the cold winter we were experiencing few weeks ago. The boots met all my expectation for a winter boots. They not only kept my toes and feet warm, they also kept me grounded on the icy road condition.

Came Back for More

By

from OK

Comments about Lower East Side Women's Blizzard Commuter Boot:

Got one of each color a few months back and finally put them to the test. I had to do a plumbing repair outdoors in below freezing weather and my feet felt so warm and cozy. Also had to squat and be on the ground a lot during the repair and felt like I was in my comfy exercise shoes, only warmer. Came back online to buy more, but they are currently out of my size. Please keep these boots around, Payless. I need some more for me and also going to get a pair to keep mom warm and dry too! It ended up snowing several inches later that night and these held up great and kept me warm and dry the whole time. Wonderful boots in every way!

NOT waterproof

By

from Toronto Ontario

Comments about Lower East Side Women's Blizzard Commuter Boot:

These are easy to wear, comfortable and warm. Only issue is that they are not waterproof. Within minutes of being otu in the snow my socks are soked. A warm -30 boot doesn't keep your feet warm if they're wet.

Awesome Boots!

By

from Chicago, IL

Comments about Lower East Side Women's Blizzard Commuter Boot:

Like another reviewer, I bought these boots when the sole of my old boots split from the upper after a snow. I was visiting Chicago for Christmas, so my SIL took me to Payless. (Like other reviewers, I forgot to take the cardboard out of the toe.). These are the warmest, dryest, most comfortable boots I've ever worn! They were true to size for me (9.5), but I also have a narrow foot, and these are the first boots that my feet aren't swimming in! Saved my wintery holiday!

Loved the Model 2 years ago...

By

from Eugene, OR

Comments about Lower East Side Women's Blizzard Commuter Boot:

I purchased this same boot 2 years ago. The best boot ever!!! Last year I went to get a backup pair and they looked the same, but they were not the same. These boots are VERY NARROW now. They are so narrow that even going up an entire size in shoe does not give me room for the width of my foot. So very sad!!! Quit having Asians make your shoes. They have tiny feet, unlike us Americans. This boot was simply awsome two years ago... now I am out of luck...So sad!
