I purchased these boots not knowing quite what to expect. I immediately loved the sexy style, but I wasn't sure what to make of the thick, fleece-like lining. (I have tried other boots with similar fleece-type linings and I have always been disappointed with them.) It seems that very few people have successfully been able to combine the style of a fashion boot with the warmth of a winter boot--but Payless has succeeded with the "Vernon" tall zip boot! I wore these boots to work the same day I bought them, and it was actually somewhat warm outside. I was afraid that my feet and legs were going to get way too hot, but that never happened. The hours passed by and I kept waiting for my feet and legs to beg for mercy--and cooler shoes--but that never happened! These boots are amazingly comfortable and definitely stylish! In only one day, I received several compliments and I can already say that these will become this year's go-to boots for me--even in slightly warmer weather. On a final note, I have larger, more athletic calves, and I feared that these were not going to fit well--but again I was proven wrong and the medium width fit surprisingly well. Very happy with my purchase!

I bought these boots in black at my local Payless shoe store. I thought the price was too high, but they're comfortable and stylish, so I figured I would get a lot of use from them. I liked them so much I decided to order them in brown on the website.

Unfortunately, after I had already ordered the second pair, I noticed the first pair was getting little rips on the top toe. There' a cheap plastic or vinyl coating that will peel off if you're not careful. Watch yourself with things like getting into and out of cars, and bumping into things.

Best boots ever!

Comments about Lower East Side Women's Vernon Commuter Boot:

These boots are so comfy. I love them so much that I came back and bought the brown ones. Then I came back a third time and bought an extra pair of the black ones as a backup so that I can have these boots for years and years. I wear them so much that it's getting pretty ridiculous! With them being marked down and with the 20% off coupon, this is too good of a deal to pass up. This truly is one of those times where you get a good deal and the product is actually awesome, no just so-so.

Very Sexy Winter Boot!

Comments about Lower East Side Women's Vernon Commuter Boot:

Super hot boots! I love the platform stacked heel and the fuzzy lining - super comfy. I have athletic calves and first purchased the 6.5 wide. The shaft of the boot was way too big!! I could slip my entire hand inside. When I looked in the mirror, they just made my calves look so big and bulky. I went back to the store and exchanged them for the 6.5 regular width. I do have a wide foot, but the footbed fit well and wasn't narrow at all. I did have to struggle to pull the zipper up my leg, and with some effort, I was able to get it all the way up. I'm hoping the material will give slightly with time as they are snug. However, when I looked in the mirror, they looked amazing! These are pretty pricey but I got them on sale so these ended up being an amazing deal - about $26 with discounts!!

Love these boots

Comments about Lower East Side Women's Vernon Commuter Boot:

These are great boots! I needed and bought extended calf, but I initially went for the Quest boots (which I also bought and love), but then saw these. I have such a head time finding boots that fit my calf, I went ahead and bought two pairs - one lined and warm (these) and the other the Quest Riding boot (not lined). When I tried each of the boots on - much to my surprise they actually were extended calf ….not 1/32 of an inch bigger like some companies seem to do, but actually the size as indicated on the measuring chart. I was so happy about that. The true test was in wearing them and I did. I wore them - all day and they were amazingly comfortable! I got lots of compliments about them and I loved the way they looked and felt. My feet get warm quickly so I will use these on cold New England days, but for most normal people the lining would add just enough warmth.. Oh and the heel for me is exactly the amount I like - not too tall, but not flat or too low. I'll review the Quest boots separately, but also recommend them.

Great Purchase

Comments about Lower East Side Women's Vernon Commuter Boot:

I was a little worried about purchasing these boots for work but I am so glad that I did. They are very comfortable to wear all day at work. I work for a large retailer and stand on my feet all day. I thought with the heal they would hurt my feet but they didn't. I work anywhere from 8 - 12 plus hours a day and I don't have to worry about my feet hurting when I get home. I love them so much that I have purchased another pair for when and if these wear out.

love em!

Comments about Lower East Side Women's Vernon Commuter Boot:

I have to say I was very surprised that these fit around my large calves! I've only found boots that fit my wide calves from one place that didn't cost an arm and a leg. I've tried on many, many, many boots that said they were wide calf and I couldn't get them zipped even half way up. I have one leg that has been damaged and is almost an inch larger than the other...20 inches to be exact, and these fit! Just a little snug, and I probably won't be able to tuck skinny jeans into them, but that's okay, I'll just do the leggings. I love them and they didn't cost $300!!
