I'm wearing these RIGHT NOW and I love them. I wish I could wear them every day. The calf area is a bit big/roomy and I do have athletic calves, but they're not sloppy. If you've never thought or have been told you required more calf room, just purchase the regular version instead of the extended. I ordered the regular version and can still easily slide my hand inside. I've also carried my cell phone there - just to give you an idea of the room. I've had them for a few weeks, now - a few scuffs, but nice!

I wish these boots would have worked! They're cute, they're stylish and comfortable... Well, the foot bed is.... I have huge calves (like 18.5" calves). I can never find boots that will zip all of the way up, so I was ecstatic when I saw these in the extended calf size. I got them in the mail and had to box opened in under a minute. These boots are enormous! They were so big that I couldn't walk without them flapping against each other! I also noticed that the contouring on the calf was really off... The curve for the calf in the back starts really low, leading to an empty pocket below my calf muscle.

Not Long Lasting

Comments about Brash Women's Questt Riding Boot:

I am a person who wears my riding boots almost daily, so they get a lot of wear. Overall, these boots are support comfortable and fit my relatively wide calves well. They are very cutting the color doesn't seem to fade much, which is great since my last pair from Payless faded a bit. The only issue I had is that the soles seem to split off relatively easily just from normal wear. The heel is tearing apart. I will praise that even though they are a bit torn up, they are still wearable when the weather isn't bad (before being torn up, they were pretty weather resistant). Overall, good, but not to keep for multiple years.

Squeaky!

Comments about Brash Women's Questt Riding Boot:

Purchased these boots in Dec. It was a little weird that the zipper is on the outsides when all tall boots I have ever purchased have been on the inside, but I eventually got used to it. They are the cutest talls boots I've seen in a while, and worked nicely for about 1-2 months and then they started squeaking- from both shoes!

It sounds like it is coming from the heel areas of both shoes but they are terribly loud and annoying. I've tried ripping up the sole and putting WD-40, using baby powder, I've even been so fed up that I've used a razor to rip slices into parts of the heel to use more WD-40 but nothing works. They are just so squeaky I think I need to just get rid of them, and they are only a few months old with normal use!

I've never had this problem with other Payless shoes. I do not recommend these!

favorite winter boots

Comments about Brash Women's Questt Riding Boot:

The boots are amazing in rain and snow. They fit very well and the zipper helps when you're wearing multiple layers. They are definitely multi seasonal boots and the quality is hard to beat. I would definitely recommend as an alternative to expensive and clunky rain boots.

Good simple boots

Comments about Brash Women's Questt Riding Boot:

Love these boots! I was worried about them not holding up through the winter, but the sole is very thick so it has already lasted me a few months. They do NOT look leather, so don't expect them to look like fancy boots or anything, but they're good for just a casual boot. They're also very stylish and I've gotten lots of compliments on them. I got cognac and the color is more brown in person. They were a bit snug on my calves when I first got them, but they stretched out after a few wears. If you're just looking for a casual simple boot, then these are perfect!

My first tall boots, ever

Comments about Brash Women's Questt Riding Boot:

I never thought I would own a pair of boots taller than ankle height without paying hundreds of dollars for "extra super plus calf" or having them custom made. Needless to say I was highly skeptical of these fitting me, but the sales associate was encouraging so I tried them... I almost cried when the zipper went up smoothly from ankle to knee. I'm over 40 and this is the first pair of boots to fit my calves, ever.

I wear a 12 wide or 13 (usually wide) and I do need the 13w to have these fit, but the bit of extra room in the foot just means I can wear my hand knit socks and have warm toes so I'm happy! I even wore them on a recent trip where I knew I would be walking around the city for most of the day and they were super comfortable. I've had more uncomfortable sneakers for that amount of walking.

I'm going to try to find a pair in cognac (even if it's more brown) to go with my pair in black.

My new winter favorites

Comments about Brash Women's Questt Riding Boot:

I picked up these last week as my first pair of riding boots. You can style these with absolutely everything. I am not sure how comfortable they will be on long walks, but they look great. I bought the wide width athletic calf and I found it to be true to size. I look forward to wearing these the rest of the winter!

Love these boots!

Comments about Brash Women's Questt Riding Boot:

I really wanted a pair of Black tall boots and these were perfect for me. I am pregnant and I don't like going to try on shoes through various stores in the mall so I ordered offline. I was really impressed with the quality of these boots. They are made of a very thick water resistant material. The comfort was amazing. The zippers on the boots were stiff so I applied some Chapstick on the zipper line and now they zip up easily. These boots are very comfortable and worth the money. They are also true to size.

Disappointed

By

Comments about Brash Women's Questt Riding Boot:

I tried on several styles of tall black boots and decided to purchase these. I have had them for less than the month and the zipper on the right boot split. It was stiff when I purchased them, but I thought it just needed to be worked in (this has happened to me in the past and always worked out fine). I am going to try and return them or exchange them for a different style in store. Really disappointed, as I love the style and they are comfortable.

Not Cognac

Comments about Brash Women's Questt Riding Boot:

The boots themsevles are fine, sturdy, a standard "riding boot" look. However, defintely go with the photo not "Cognac", these are a plain brown. Not what I wanted at all, certainly won't go with much unless you have an ample brown wardrobe. I personally find the lighter Cognac goes with Navy/Jeans, etc. much better than "Brown" boots do.
