Comments about American Eagle Women's Cent Penny Flat:
I bought these in blue because I just knew they were going to be comfortable and cute. They were cute, got lots of compliments, but I was out of them most of the day. These are so painful and I thought maybe it was because I needed to break them in.... NO! These are not worth the money I paid for them. Will not be wearing these again and will find some way to get rid of them.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

TOO PAINFULLLLLL!!!! :O
from West Hempstead, NY
I bought these in-store because I fell in love with the color right away. But after wearing them for 30 minutes, I wished I hadn't wasted my money on them! They were too uncomfortable and scraped the back of my foot + my little toe veery badly. Had to throw them away!

BEAUTIFUL shoe, unbearably painful.
from Ann Arbor, MI
I fell in love with these shoes when I saw them in the store. I tried them on and thought, "Eh, they're a bit tight, but a lot of flats are when you first buy them. They'll be fine after I break them in!"I was wrong.I wore them to work and had to switch into a pair of slippers that I had in my car by my lunch break. They gave me big blisters on my heel and they were so, so painful.I let the blisters heal, and then I put some heavy socks on and tried the blow-dryer break-in trick. I did this for a while and figured that it would be better, but the next time I wore them, I had some awful blisters again. I tried to fold them and bend them to loosen them up around the heels, but nothing seems to have worked.I'm not really a wimp when it comes to shoes and I can handle some discomfort...but if a pair of flats is quite literally tearing apart my feet, it's time to say goodbye. Such a bummer, because I adore the color and they are really stylish.

Cute but not Comfy
from Atlanta, GA
I really like the color of these shoes--that's what got me. It's such a beautiful vivid blue. When I wore them I got tons of compliments. But these are probably one of the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever worn. I got blisters on the back of my feet by the end of the day. And the parts of my feet where the stitching detail lies were very red and sensitive too. I wouldn't recommend buying these, especially if you're looking for comfy shoes.

Cute but painful
I recently purchased a black pair and they are really very cute but they absolutely destroy your heels. After walking around a college campus in them, I had multiple blisters and was bleeding. There wasn't even any sort of heel protector that I could use, it'd just make it worse. They're a good buy for walking short distances or for special occasions but definitely not everyday wear.

Out of The Blue
from St Louis
I noticed this shoe online and out of my size. I checked my store and they were out of the Cobalt blue. Luckily another store had them in 12 and on sale! I was attracted by the color but stayed for the comfort. Fits is good, if durability matches, all in all, a great buy. The penny loafer style is quite attractive with a contrasting stitch detail on the sides. This will complete an Ivory / Cobalt outfit, I have, beautifully. Thanks Payless!

You get what you pay for...
from Los Angeles, CA
I have been purchasing Payless shoes for 20+ years and have never purchased a pair so uncomfortable! These shoes literally shredded my heels! I wore them to work and they started to hurt before I even parked my car. It was my bad I didn't bring a second pair just-in-case, so I had to wear them all day. By the time I got home, I had bits of skin hanging off my heels! I can't imagine how bad it would have been if I wasn't wearing socks! They won't even make it to my donation pile,I can't bear to subject another person to this kind of torture, so I'm afraid these shoes are going straight in the dumpster :-( What a waste of $

But don't you step on my blue suede shoes!
from Santa Clara, CA
Love how adorable these are. Color is vibrant and material is nice. For being faux suede you can't go wrong. Surprisingly comfortable as for the most part when I get flats from Payless I find that they rub and make my size 13's look fat. These seem to fit in the right places and move to remain comfortable, not stiff at all. The toe is that cute and modern slightly pointy slightly round so it makes my feet look slender (something I covet as a large footed lady). I think I need to get a couple more pairs to stock up before they are gone! Please keep the blue suede cuties coming Payless!!!
